EXPECTATIONS AND OBLIGATIONS

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM MEMBERS

Freight Lounge Select is for freight forwarders who take an active role in the network. We expect members to join monthly discussions, share local industry knowledge, and respond promptly to enquiries from other members.

Membership means both contributing and benefitting. Offering support, sharing opportunities, and giving fellow members fair consideration when choosing overseas partners. Members are also expected to attend our monthly online meetings. Attendance at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is highly encouraged to build relationships face to face and help shape the network’s future.

MEMBERSHIP BEGINS WITH A REVIEW

Before a company joins Freight Lounge Select, we review its experience, services and business references. We also consider how it complements the members already active in its country or region.

Membership comes with responsibilities. The expectations below explain how members are asked to work with one another and contribute to the network.

HOW TO BECOME A FREIGHT LOUNGE SELECT MEMBER

Active participation is an important part of membership. We expect members to contribute to the network, respond to enquiries and build working relationships with other members.

To apply, complete our application form and agree to the membership terms and conditions, code of conduct and website terms of use.

We then review your company’s financial standing, conduct the relevant identity and security checks, and assess its experience and operations. We also request at least two business references before making a membership decision.

Once your application is approved and the membership fee is paid, we activate your company profile. You can then add your company details and key contacts for other members to see.

Finally, we introduce your company to the network through a member announcement.

  • Provide two references from freight forwarding partners in other countries.
  • Agree to the Freight Lounge Terms and Conditions, User Terms and Code of Conduct

Companies with extensive branch networks outside their home country may be reviewed separately to protect the network’s focus on independent forwarders.
